Essential questions such as "How is the world economy interdependent?" frame this interdisciplinary economics unit encompassing many of the ELA Common Core State Standards. Students develop deep understandings of content knowledge through close reading of fiction, informational text, poetry, and hybrid forms. Embedded in these learning activities is an emphasis on developing language and foundational skills. The culminating project, the Young Entrepreneurs' Emporium, highlights students' understandings and includes engagement in all of the language arts.
