Children's Rights to Excellent Literacy Instruction

With the Children's Rights to Excellent Literacy Instruction position statement, ILA builds upon the 10 principles outlined in the Children's Rights to Read initiative. Both are founded upon the belief that every child, everywhere, should be guaranteed access to the education, opportunities, and resources needed to read and learn.

Each tenet of the statement will be addressed separately and in more depth in forthcoming related research briefs—including the evidence base for each of the four named rights.
