The ILA 2017 Conference & Exhibits: Must-Read Tips

By Alina O'Donnell
 | Jun 29, 2017

Orlando's International DriveThe ILA 2017 Conference & Exhibits is just over two weeks away, and we are gearing up for an exciting few days with some of the brightest minds in the literacy field. Highlights include research-focused sessions, Putting Books to Work
collaborative workshops, a motivational ILA Sparks Lunch, and a new current events panel on how literacy drives social change. If you register before July 12, you’ll still get the Standard rate.

For those who are already preparing to make the journey to Orlando, please consider the following tips to ensure your trip goes as smoothly as possible:

  • Make travel less stressful by making sure you have all your confirmation e-mails, tickets, maps, and contact numbers printed out or saved on your mobile device before you head to Orlando.
  • Plan your route ahead of time. Driving? Use Google Maps to figure out your path to the Orange County Convention Center. Taking the shuttle from your hotel? Schedules will be available on-site and in the lobbies of hotels on the official scheduled route.
  • When you arrive on-site, visit the Registration Area to pick up your materials, including printed copies of this year’s program and a coupon booklet (if you're taking a shuttle bus, it will drop you off near Registration).
  • Find the "Ask Me" guides for answers to your questions! Look for these friendly folks wearing bright yellow shirts and caps.
  • Stay connected on-site with free Wi-Fi (available everywhere except inside the Exhibit Hall).

For more information, visit the ILA 2017 Conference & Exhibits app.
